Da Vinci’s Italian Restaurant acquired Chef Luca Melis from Bistecca Italian in Abbotsford in 2018. From that moment both owners Joseph Rechichi and Valerie LoPresti knew this was a perfect fit with their idea of creating traditional, seasonal, and regional Italian cuisine. Chef Luca has resurrected dishes from his youth in Italy and upbringing in his father’s Sardinian trattoria. This simple but delightful menu by Chef Luca has been paired with an array of imported Italian wines (full licensed restaurant, currently not BYO). Joseph and Valerie have worked tirelessly to increase the seating by opening a private courtyard that caters for all function types and normal dine-in service on the weekends. The love for Italian cuisine and the community by this trio, Joseph, Valerie and Chef Luca, has breathed new life into Da Vinci’s on the Piazza of Summer Hill.
